Live Blog: IPL5 Day 3

The IGN Proleague 5 is running from November 29th to December 2nd at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada. They are hosting tournaments for StarCraft II, League of Legends, and ShootMania with a prize pool of $100,000 is on the line. 10:30 AM PST: The games have begun!

11:00 AM PST: The Swarm continues to grow stronger as MVP DongRaeGu eliminates Qunatic TheSTC 2-0.

11:14 AM PST: MVP.Sniper wins his first game against Liquid HerO in the final round of the Losers Bracket.

11:15 AM PST: StarTale.Bomber keeps Terran hopes alive as he advances to the finals bracket over Creator.Prime 2-1

11:38 AM PST: Liquid HerO is eiliminated from IPL5 in an exciting Game Two on Ohana by MVP.Sniper.

12:00 PM PST: TSL.Polt is knocked down to the Final Losers Bracket in a dominating 2-0 series from FXO.Leenock. There remains 2 Terrans and 6 Zergs in the Tournament.

12:22 PM PST: StarTale.Bomber looking to tie up his series against MVP.DongRaeGu 1-1 after a devestating marines with combat shield + helion timing attack.

12:33 PM PST: StarTale.Bomber ties up his series after a near comeback by MVP.DongRaeGu, Game 3 about to begin!

12:57 PM PST: In a spectacular display of late game TvZ StarTale Bomber triumphs over MVP.DongRaeGu 2-1 and eliminates him from IPL5!

1:10 PM PST: Now TSL.Polt is up against the GSL Finalist MVP .Sniper in Losers’ Final Bracket action. First map Ohana.

1:28 PM PST: TSL.Polt takes game 1 on Ohana, Game 2 begins on Daybreak.

1:35 PM PST: Check our our On the Floor Interview from Yosef Bilal Bruer with FXO.Leenock prior to his Winners Bracket final match against AZUBU.Violet! 

1:44 PM PST: TSL.Polt and StarTale.Bomber, keeping Terran hopes alive one dead Zerg at a time. Polt triumphs over MVP.Sniper 2-0!

1:45 PM PST: Bomber is currently up 1-0 on TSL.Symbol. If Bomber beats Symbol he will have to play TSL.Polt in the next round.

2:01 PM PST: Bomber defeats TSL.Symbol, eliminating Symbol from IPL5 and moving on to play TSL.Polt where one Terran will eventually fall. 2 Terrans and 2 Zerg are left at IPL5!

2:12 PM PST: Next up is the GSL World Championships first round, where we will see a Scarlett vs. DRG rematch

2:31 PM PST: After a minor delay due to a missing Stephano, the GSL World Championships is beginning with Lucifron vs. Seed!

2:52 PM PST: Soon GSL World Championships will get underway, after the very entertaing pre-game interviews are over.

 3:13 PM PST:  Dancing zealots and three manner nexuses later, LG-IM.Seed puts Korea on the board 1-0 against the World All-Stars

3:39 PM PST: Acer.Scarlett ties it up for the World All-Stars, and avenges the humiliation of her teammate Karont3.LucifroN by building 3 manner hatcheries in front of DRG.

3:56 PM PST: StarTale.Squirtle now plays against Scarlett’s teammate Acer.Nerchio on Antiga Shipyard

4:15 PM PST: StarTale’s Squirtle goes for mass carriers and takes out Acer.Nerchio to put Korea over World All-Stars 2-1

4:17 PM PST: To bring the game to the Ace match, the World All-Stars need Naniwa to take out GSL Champion Life on Entombed Valley.

4:36 PM PST: Mionix.Naniwa loses after doing an incredible 8-gate timing attack and doing tons of damage. StarTale.Life shows how durable he is by making a huge comeback to win Round 1 of the GSL World Championships for Korea 3-1. Stephano v. MC being played for posterity.

4:58 PM PST: The BM continues as EG.Stephano beats SK.MC in their posterity match with hydralisks, bringing the final score to 3-2 for Korea.

5:17 PM PST: That’s all for the GSL World Championships, now we’ll have an hour break and the GSL Code-S Finals begin. Time to crown a new champion.

6:16 PM PST: GSL Code-S Finals have started, Sniper being kind giving HyuN at least one game and predicting 4-1 score. Let’s see what happens!

6:28 PM PST: HyuN quickly…very quickly takes Game 1 vs. Sniper with an early baneling bust on Antiga Shipyard.

6:52 PM PST: Yosef Bilal Bruer interviewed StarTale Bomber, CoL.Goswer and went into the venue to see who the fans think will win this GSL Code-S Finals

7:02 PM PST: Sniper brings it back 1-1 against HyuN on Bel’Shir Vestige.

7:08 PM PST: Game 3 starting on Abyssal City.

7:20 PM PST: Game 3 goes to MVP.Sniper after an epic back and forth battle. It seems Sniper has the advantage the longer these games go on.

7:41 PM PST: Game 4 goes to TSL.HyuN who evens up the series 2-2. Looks like this Championship will go the distance!

8:01 PM PST: Game 5 goes to TSL.HyuN as well! An epic back and forth macro battle on Whirlwind, some huge battles that were incredible to watch. 3-2 for HyuN he needs only one more game to become the 2nd Royal Roader in GSL History.

8:45 PM PST: Sniper evens up and takes HyuN to a final Game 7.

9:05 PM PST: Sniper tenaciously takes many great engagements, and finally pushes HyuN back on Cloud Kingdom. MVP.Sniper is your new GSL Code-S Champion!
