[GSL] I’m glad I was able to continue to top notch play from MLG

MarineKingPrime continued the winning streak at the GSL after winning the MLG.

On the 28^th, the HotSix GSL Season 2 Code S Round of 32 Group C was held and MarineKingPrime took first place. He beat Zenio (Liquid) 2:0 and beat July (Startale) in the winner’s round to proceed on to the round of 16.

How does it feel to proceed on to the Round of 16?

I feel bad because I beat two of my favorite Zerg players (Zenio and Jully). However I’m glad I was able to continue the top notch playing condition from MLG.

I believe you just got back from the United States yesterday. Aren’t you tired physically?

I was not able to fall asleep due to the jet lag so I finally fell asleep in the morning. I was very tired, but I believed in myself because I am confident about my TvZ.

You’ve won both the MLG Arena and also the Championship.

I think I’m pretty good with short-term tournaments like MLG. I don’t know why, but I am more energetic and my condition’s better in those events. I was able to win twice in a row because my opponent played the style I wanted.

In both of the MLG finals, you played DRG. DRG is a solid player.

Even when I practice against DRG, it’s 50:50. I have lost to him a lot in the GSL stage and I was beginning to fear him a bit. However I was able to become more confident against DRG through MLG and I have regained my confidence with the TvZ match-up.

Did the winning of the MLG have positive impact on today’s game?

Whenever I am the runner-up, I tend to lose a lot of confidence during the following season. Therefore I’ve been showing bad plays. However right after winning the MLG, a lot of the players seem to fear me a bit and I naturally regained confidence.

Some people say that you have yet to escape the Kong-Line.

I’ve been thinking a lot after winning the MLG. Will MLG be just an event or will I be recognized as escaping the Kong-Line. My conclusion is this. I plan to think of GSL as an event. Therefore I am still a Kong (haha).

You gave peanuts (Kong in Korean) and soy-milk to the fans today.

Yeah I got the idea from my head coach and GomTV. I loved it. My coach helped me out and I bought everything myself for the fans.
